Crop Nutrient Data Microsite DemonstrationOur new microsite cropnutrientdata.net provides easy and open access to field trial data based on our two databases (1) Nutrient Omission Trial and (2) Global Nutrient Removal. The site also provides a convenient option for those interested in contributing data to either of the databases. Ethan will give a demo of the databases and the platform’s capabilities. including: Login & Tutorial video; Data tab – Projects; Export; Trials; Workspaces – Pre-made; New; Export

Rapid surveys empower precision agronomy at scaleIn this talk, Sonam Sherpa (CIMMYT, CSISA) and Andrew McDonald (Cornell, CSISA) briefly described the basics of the LCAS approach and showcase how surveys are combined with predictive soil mapping to create new data-driven approaches for precision nutrient management in smallholder systems that are responsive to landscape variation.  The utility of LCAS -type surveys extend beyond field agronomy to investment priority setting, geographic targeting, and monitoring & evaluation.  The presentation will conclude with a discussion of the merits and challenges for evolving initiatives like LCAS into a global approach.
Speaker(s): Sonam Sherpa, CIMMYT/Cornell University
